Support Groups - Second Sense

Second Sense offers a variety of support groups that focus on both support and training for individuals who lost their vision. Second Sense has a traditional support group (RP Meet Up) and several unconventional groups that you may want to consider. Second Sense's traditional support group (RP Meet Up) is for active adults who are adjusting to vision loss. This group meets on the second Saturday of the month. The Apple Exchange group is for individuals who share an interest in Apple iPhones and iPads. They meet on the second Thursday of the month.

Lader Family Scholarship Program - The Chicago Lighthouse - Main Office, Low Vision Clinic, & Chicago Lighthouse Industries

The Chicago Lighthouse's Lader Family Scholarship Program is open to residents of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin who are blind or partially sighted as well as Chicago Lighthouse employees who are blind, partially sighted, have another disability, or are Veterans. Scholarship funds are to be used to defray the costs of tuition, books, assistive technology, or other educational expenses for students enrolled in post-secondary programs, including accredited certifications and Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees.
