REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT SERVICES | WORLD RELIEF

Provides refugee resettlement and immigration and citizenship services including refugee employment services, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, housing, mediation, and counseling, assistance with green cards, citizenship, counseling, legal services.

On-site therapy, counseling, group-based programming, and individual/family case management to improve lives of immigrants who have experienced severe loss and trauma.

Also currently serving refugees from Ukraine.

Provides help to immigrants to navigate the Illinois' human services delivery system. This program may offer the following services

- Linguistically and culturally sensitive case management and service coordination for immigrants and refugee individuals.

- Emergency and crisis services for immigrants and refugees.

- Know Your Rights workshops on topics of importance to help immigrants and refugee individuals and families learn about resources and information with the goal of strengthening the capacity of the immigrant community.

Access to Justice (A2J): Large-scale Community Navigator Program that will allow families to access deportation protection education and legal defense.

The program also offers vocational training in areas such as: Hospitality, Food Service, Information Technology, Childcare, Truck Driver Training, and Medical Interpreting. Acknowledging the ever-changing demographics of its participants, curricula are frequently updated to meet current needs.

Provides a wide range of employment and training services. Supportive services include assistance economically disadvantaged farmworker families while they are working in agriculture and offers employment and training services to assist enrolled farmworkers to acquire new occupational skills that lead to stable jobs.
