Illinois Welcoming Center & Immigrant Family Resource Program - Muslim Women Resource Center - Main Office

Muslim Women Resource Center (MWRC) is an Illinois Welcoming Center (IWC) and provides the Immigrant Family Resource Program (IFRP) in addition to Immigration Legal Services, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), WIC (Women, Infant and Children), ESL (English as Second Language) classes, Citizenship Classes, and other referral and field work services as needed by the community. Services under IWC include:Social Security benefits applications (retirement, disability, age-based)Medicare applicationsRTA applications (free or reduced-fare passes, free rides for disabled individuals)Passport application assistanceFinancial or crisis intervention assistanceDonations or referrals for donationsDMV-related services (State ID, driver's license, driving record assistance)Obtaining civil documents (marriage, divorce certificates)Domestic violence referrals and child support/custody form assistanceSchool admission and college/university application supportMedical appointment scheduling and hospital referralsField work with interpretation and translation servicesEducational workshops on various topics including immigration topics and "Know Your Rights" presentationsServices under IFRP include:Assistance with Food Stamps (SNAP) applicationsMedicaid benefits assistanceCash benefits (TANF) assistanceReferrals to WIC and other family support programsOutreach, case management, information and referralInterpretation and translation services
