North Side Housing and Supportive Services' Daytime Support Services Center connects people experiencing homelessness with critical resources like clothing, personal hygiene kits, and food. Case managers also work with adults to fill out housing applications, connect them with temporary shelters, and provide them with referrals for medical and health counseling.

HOMELESS DROP-IN CENTER | CARPENTER'S PLACE

Day time drop-in center for adults who are homeless. All services at the facility are accessed through case management. Residential services may be available but must be accessed through case management.


Services include showers and bathrooms, storage for personal belongings, laundry facility, kitchen, employment and training, classrooms, art room, office space, and donation room.


Also serves as a warming center during regular hours in the winter months.

Youth Drop-In Centers - La Casa Norte - Back of the Yards Youth Emergency Shelter

Located in the Humboldt Park and Back of the Yards neighborhoods, two drop-in centers are open on weekdays for unaccompanied youth, ages 16 through 24. Along with a safe space to stay during daytime hours, youth receive two meals and access to resources, including computers, storage lockers, and case management. From financial literacy to individual therapy to family reunification, youth receive the support they need to succeed.

LPCS provides weekly outreach and drop-in supportive services (showers, laundry, clothing, toiletries, meals, referrals, and case management) to individuals who are currently experiencing street-based homelessness.

The HOPE Center - Journeys the Road Home - Main Office

The HOPE Center is a resource center that provides free services to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. Monday through Friday services include food pantry, clothing, laundry services, locker and shower facilities, mailbox/voicemail/email services, transportation assistance, and case management which covers job counseling, mental health counseling, housing counseling, financial counseling, housing assistance, and healthcare and legal referrals. The HOPE Center is also where people register to use emergency shelters in the area. A family nurse practitioner offers free healthcare on Thursdays and can assist with accessing prescriptions, and on Tuesdays they offer bike repair.On weekends, the location is still available as a cooling/warming center but no other services are available.

Covenant House Illinois' Youth Development Center is a place where youth experiencing homelessness can immediately address their most urgent needs. When a young person chooses to come to CHIL they are welcomed into a safe and supportive environment where they can access food, showers, laundry, personal storage, case management, employment and education, and a place to rest and relax.

Broadway Youth Center is here to improve the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness and other underserved youth by providing youth-centered, integrated healthcare and social services. BYC sees anyone, regardless of ability to pay. BYC provides basic needs assistance, resource advocacy, mental wellness supports, and education/vocational services.
