Total program cost are $5,530. Tuition fees are waived for qualifying low-income individuals.

Description

Chinese American Service League's (CASL) Culinary Training Program has successfully trained and placed over 1,500 students in culinary positions. They place their student graduates in high-end establishments with employee benefits. Students of the Culinary Training Program learn Western-style culinary techniques from an accomplished Chef Instructor. Chinese-speaking students in need of vocational English are required to take a one-week Vocational English Language class before the start of the culinary training, and will thereafter be guided.

Chinese American Service League (CASL) serves as a comprehensive social service agency in the Midwest dedicated to serving the needs of Chinese and Asian Americans, as well as other Americans who are in need. They provide culturally and linguistically competent services through Chinese and Spanish bilingual staff. CASL welcomes all clients and families and provides child services, senior services, employment and training services, behavioral health services, Alzheimer's and dementia screening and interventions, holistic case management, legal services, housing and financial education, and citizenship and immigration services.
