Description

JOURNEYS' On-Site Shelter Program is similar to the PADS Shelter program - a safe place to sleep, a warm dinner and breakfast, counseling and other workshops to help people who are experiencing homelessness. Capacity can hold roughly 20 males and 20 females. This program especially helps people who have higher barriers to housing stability or have difficulty accessing PADS Shelters. Journeys the Road Home is a non-profit agency that provides both shelter and social services to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in 37 towns in north/northwest suburban Cook County. The mission of JOURNEYS is to individually assess and serve its clients, while broadening community awareness and involvement. For suburban Cook County residents at risk of losing their primary nighttime residence in the next two weeks or those who do not have a place to stay and are in need of emergency shelter in the next 24-48 hours, please call (877) 426-6515 Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm to be connected with the Suburban Cook County Call Center.
