Workforce Wednesday is open to any student 14 years or older. Students younger than 16 will require a work permit.

Description

Youth Job Center (YJC) offers high school students specialized Workforce Wednesdays, which teaches clients the essential skills to find and keep a job. YJC offers virtual training monthly, with new topics covered each month. Learn skills like resume building, effective communication, networking, and more. High school clients can also access job fairs, Career Pathway informational sessions, and summer jobs through YJC Summer Corps.

YJC provides Workforce Readiness Training (WRT), personalized career coaching, job placement, financial coaching, and barrier reduction services to young adults throughout Chicagoland. YJC currently has offices in Chicago Heights, Englewood, Evanston, and Pilsen.
